Life in Syracuse

Hi folks! It's been a while since we last posted anything to our blog. We thought we would give you an update now that we have (more or less) settled into a life here in Syracuse, NY. We're both fully immersed in grad school -- and thoroughly enjoying the challenge. Nancy is hard at work, examining ways in which our country can retool its immigration policies. She also finds time to run four times a week and patronize the local farmers market. Sean, meanwhile, is studying the complicated dynamics of the Arab-Israeli conflict, struggling through quantitative statistics, and playing racquetball. Amidst all of this, we are setting up shop in our beautiful new house. Attached are photos of the house, which remains a work in progress. Included are a few shots of the initial overhaul (which was made possible by the incredible support and expertise of Nancy's parents, Janet and Roger!) and the (sort of) finished product.

You guys have been hard at work! I love what you're doing with the house, and can't wait to come see it sometime!

Your house looks great! I know your Mom and Dad have enjoyed every minute they've been able to spend on it and with you both. I understand that you're really busy; seems like you've been going non-stop since you returned to the States, but we hope to see you sometime this winter. You're always welcome to stop by anytime: 110 Bent Tree Lane, B'ville.

Just taking a second look. Are those the chairs from the living room of your parents house? Hahaha if they are, I can't believe I remember them.

Love your house. Very cozy.
