Visiting

We feel really lucky to be visiting with Ghanaian friends, old and new. Here are just a few pictures of some of the folks we're enjoying seeing....Sean with Emma Agbley, a friend of the Bowditch family (her husband worked with Nate in Cape Coast. He is now working in Mozambique so we didn't get to see him); out to dinner in Accra with the SIT crew: Yaw, Fuseina, Kokroko, and Yemi (Susie used to be a codirector of the Ghana SIT program with Yemi); former cook and family friend Martha and her son Nathaniel; and Sean at his former Cape Coast home with Mr. Mensah, Evans, and Kojo.

Hi Sean and Nancy,

I am overwhelmed with emotion at the photos of Martha, Nathaniel, Yemi, Kokroko, Yaw, Evans, Kojo, Emma and Mr. Mensah!! How great to know they are still there and still remember you, Sean!

I am also overwhelmed with the way the balcony railing of our house looks, and especially, the decomposition of the castle at Elmina, not to mention the fact that the village of Brofoyedeur is still as poor as ever...

Third, I am hungry just looking at the plate of 'red reds' and ground nut soup! Yum - I can almost taste it!

Finally, I am thrilled that you found Brenu as lovely as ever - are those the two leaning palms near Sean in the photo? - and that you were able to spend two enjoyable days there in one of the cottages! A great way to end a great thirtieth birthday, I would say!

Love to both of you, Mom/Susie
