Welcome!

Welcome to our travel blog! We're setting this up as a way to be able to share our adventures with folks without inundating you with mass emails. So if you're interested in what we're doing, check this blog. We'll try to keep it updated, but no promises (we are on our honeymoon, after all). Also, I think that you can use this to post messages for us (you can still send personal emails to our individual addresses). And we'll post photos from time to time.

As of December 21, Sean and I are officially nomads! We sold most of our furniture, moved out of our apartment, and put all of our stuff in storage. We’re on the east coast visiting parents right now. On January 4, we fly to Santiago, Chile. We’ll be there and in Argentina for two months, doing a bunch of backpacking, beaching, and visiting old friends. Then, we go back to NYC for a few days before flying to Accra, Ghana. We’ll be there and in Burkina Faso for 7 weeks (it’s really hard to go direct from South America to West Africa!). We hope to do language school, lots of markets, beaches, jungles, etc. And then, back to the east coast and in early May to Eugene. By then, we should have figured out summer plans, and where the heck we are moving (or staying, if it be Eugene) for grad school. Wish us luck!

Hi Sean and Nancy,

This looks user friendly.

This will be a wonderful way to check in with you and know where you are (if you've posted new info).

I'm putting away Christmas decorations!

Love, Mom/Janet

Hi Nancy and Sean,

Bob and I are awed by your adventurous exploits. The photos of the lunar-like landscape of the P. Traverse and your description of the "less-traveled" route, on which you saw no other hikers for 2 days, amazed us! Keep posting, please, 'cause we're loving the travelogue.

Thanks for providing really nice information. It is necessary for us to get some information about destination before traveling.
